If you've been scrolling through beautifully designed spaces online and wondering how to get that look in your own home (without flying a designer in or paying for a full-service project), E-Design might be exactly what you need!

Here's everything you need to know.

What Is E-Design?

E-Design (also called virtual interior design or online interior design) is a remote design service where a designer creates a complete design plan for your space, delivered digitally. You receive everything you need to execute the design yourself: the vision, the products, the layout, and the guidance.

No in-person visits required. No contractor coordination. Just a professional design, delivered to your inbox.

What's Typically Included in an E-Design Package?

Every studio's package is a little different. At Zo & Co., our E-Design service includes:

  • A custom mood board showing the overall aesthetic direction

  • A floor plan with furniture placement

  • A curated product sourcing list with direct links and budget breakdowns

  • A paint palette with specific paint codes

  • A styling guide so you know how to layer and finish the space

You take that package and shop, order, and install everything at your own pace.

Who Is E-Design Right For?

E-Design is a great fit if:

  • You're outside of NJ or NY but want professional design help

  • You have the time and enjoy the process of shopping and installing

  • You're working with a tighter timeline or budget

  • You want a single room done — a bedroom refresh, a nursery, a home office

It's probably not the right fit if you're doing a full renovation, managing contractors, or want someone to handle procurement and installation for you. That's where full-service design comes in.

How Much Does E-Design Cost?

At Zo & Co., E-Design starts at $1,000 depending on the scope and number of rooms. It's a fraction of the cost of full-service design, and you still get a professionally designed space.

How Does the Process Work?

  1. You fill out our style quiz about your space, style, and budget and submit our intake form.

  2. We have a kickoff call to align on direction.

  3. We deliver your design package within 2–4 weeks.

  4. You shop and execute — and we're available for questions along the way!

Is It Worth It?

In short: YES, if you're the right kind of client. If you have taste but can't quite pull it together, if you keep second-guessing your purchases, or if you've been living with a space that just isn't working — E-Design gives you the clarity and direction to finally get it done right.
