Finding the Flow : The Choreography of Texture
The studio meticulously mapped the human experience to balance high-traffic efficiency with quiet, tactile comfort. The floor plan is anchored by a striking, custom-fabricated "dune" wall - a rhythmic, wave-like installation that breaks linear symmetry and provides a soft, illuminated backdrop for the lounge.
A dynamic interplay of light and shadow acts as a visual compass, drawing guests naturally from the structured ordering area toward the fluid, curved seating heart of the cafe.
Curating the Sensory Palette: Earthy Refinement
Pink Dunes Café is inspired by the soft forms and tones of desert sand dunes, combining warm sand and cream hues with subtle rose accents to create a space that feels elegant yet inviting. The design was intentionally kept away from a sterile or overly manufactured look, focusing instead on warmth, texture, and natural materials.
Walnut wood tables bring depth and richness, while a large central tree and layered greenery add an organic, calming presence. Natural ceramics and tactile finishes introduce softness and authenticity throughout the space. Cream dune-inspired wainscoting pairs with vertically stacked rose-toned polished tiles, creating a balanced contrast between matte textures and gentle shine.
The overall atmosphere is warm yet refined, a space that feels thoughtfully designed, grounded in nature, and quietly luxurious.
Designing "The Glow": Layered Illumination
For Zo & Co. Design Studio, lighting is the ultimate storyteller. The team designed a tiered system featuring spherical, wooden-capped pendants that mirror the organic curves of the furniture.
Hidden LED ribbons follow the "dune" line of the wall, creating a rhythmic “heartbeat” of light that changes throughout the day, while ambient warmth is cast over the dark wood tables to ensure an intimate, high-end dining experience.
The Realization: Bringing the Spirit of the Dune to Life
The studio's work went beyond aesthetics; it was about giving the brand’s identity a physical home. By translating the concept of a "Pink Dune" into an ergonomic landscape, Zo & Co. ensured that every corner of the cafe feels as restorative as it looks.
From the supportive curve of the rattan chairs to the intentional spacing that allows for both privacy and social connection, the studio transformed the vision into an environment where guests feel an immediate sense of belonging within a sculpted, sun-drenched escape.
